FASTAB™ MICROFLUIDIC PATENTED TECHNOLOGY: MICROFLUIDIC MADE EASY

  • Current microfluidic control systems such as syringe, peristaltic or piston pumps are poorly adapted to the manipulation of fluid volumes in the nanoliter range, leading to long equilibration times, irreproducibility and pulsing.
  • To solve this problem, FLUIGENT has developed the patented FASTAB™ technology: a pressure driven technology including an advanced feedback control algorithm with no mechanical part involved. These specificities enable a pulseless flow as well as greater responsiveness.
  • Based on the FASTAB™ technology, our MFCS™ series are compatible with any microfluidic application.

Specifications

The MFCS™ is a pressure-driven flow controller designed to control independently up to 4 channels of your microfluidic system. This feature means that you can apply the pressure you need to microfluidic channel you want. This is especially convenient for multichannel microfluidic systems and lab-on-a-chip applications.
The MFCS™ operates over a wide pressure range (from -800mbar up to 7bar depending on the pressure range chosen) to control flow rates from sub nL/min to thousands of mL/min, as shown in the table below:

  • The standard version of MAESFLO™ is automatically provided with any MFCS™ ensuring an independent and precise control of the pressures inside your microfluidic system and an easy monitoring of the pressures and the flow-rates (only available with the FRP) of up to 16 different channels.
