A 16-Year Journey with µTAS
From our first exhibition in Groningen in 2010 to the 30th edition in Granada in 2026
Since first exhibiting at µTAS in Groningen in 2010, Fluigent has built a 16-year relationship with the global microfluidics community. In Granada, µTAS 2026 will continue this journey while bringing together two major milestones: the 30th edition of µTAS and Fluigent’s 20th anniversary. This long-standing relationship reflects a shared commitment to advancing microfluidics through innovation, scientific exchange, and collaboration.
What is MicroTAS?
The 30th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences will take place at the Granada Conference & Exhibition Centre from 18 to 22 October 2026.
Recognized as a leading international forum for microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip research, µTAS brings together scientists, engineers and industry experts to share the latest advances in microphysiological systems, wearables, microfluidic technologies, biosensing and micro- and nanophotonics.

The Fluigent Flow Consulting
Bring us your microfluidic challenge. Leave with a flow strategy.
To mark Fluigent’s 20th anniversary, we are offering 20 dedicated 15-minute Flow Clinic consultations during µTAS 2026.
Bring us your application, experimental setup, poster or challenge. During a focused 15-minute consultation, a Fluigent expert will help you clarify your needs, identify the key flow-control considerations, and define an initial direction for your project.
Participants will receive a personalized Flow Prescription summarizing the recommendations discussed and the most relevant next steps.
Sessions will be available through:
- Pre-booked appointments
- Same-day walk-in requests at Booths 35–36, subject to availability
Workshop 1 | Sunday, 18 October | 09:00AM–12:00
Streamlining Microfluidic Prototyping and Manufacturing
With Bruno Charléty, Product & Application Manager at Fluigent
Bringing together experts from academia and industry, this workshop will explore the complete microfluidic development pathway—from device design and flow simulation to prototyping, automation and scalable manufacturing. Key topics will include optimizing chamber geometries, flow conditions and shear rates for cell culture applications, developing standards-driven prototypes, and translating academic proof-of-concepts into reliable, commercially manufacturable devices.
Bruno Charléty will take part in the workshop “Streamlining the Microfluidic Prototyping and Manufacturing Processes: Design, Fabrication, and (Flow) Simulations,” led by Dr. Darwin Reyes from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Fluigent will contribute its industry perspective on precise flow control, automation and standardization—three essential elements for developing reproducible microfluidic systems and accelerating the transition from research to real-world applications.
This workshop is particularly relevant for researchers, engineers and developers seeking to design, prototype and scale up reliable microfluidic systems.
Poster Presentation
Advanced Pressure-Based Flow Control for Precise Fluid Manipulation in Microfluidic Applications
With Joseph Farah, Microfluidic Application Engineer at Fluigent
Category: Fluidics
Poster Session 3 | Wednesday, 21 October | 14:40–16:40
Joseph Farah will present his work on advanced pressure-based flow control for precise and reproducible fluid manipulation in microfluidic applications.
Meet Joseph during Poster Session 3 to discuss the scientific approach, explore the challenges associated with precise fluid handling, and discover how pressure-based flow control can improve the reliability and reproducibility of microfluidic workflows.
